On Saturday, May 7, 2011, the Bristol Club will visit Case Quarries in Portland, Connecticut. You can arrive anytime after 8 AM. A map and directions will be in the next bulletin.

Our first field trip of the season will be Sunday, April 17, 2011 to collect garnets in Roxbury, CT. We’ll meet out at the site at 9:00 AM. A map and other information will be in the next bulletin.

Our last trip of the season was to Green’s Farm in Roxbury for garnets on October 23. We’ll be busy over the winter planning for next year’s field trips, which will start in April.

Our October field trip will be Saturday, October 23, 2010 to Greens Farm in Roxbury to look for garnets. We will meet at the site at 9:00 AM. A map will be published in the next bulletin. There is a small fee to collect here (approximately $5 per car).

Our August field trip is Saturday, August 21 to the Betts Manganese Mine in Massachusetts. Look for information and a map in the next bulletin.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a $5 fee to collect here. You can pay the $5 at the main entrance in the building. If you need to come inside the house beyond the main entrance, you must remove your shoes as they do not wear shoes inside the house.
