Lapidary Center

The club has a Lapidary Center where members can go to cut and polish stones that can be used to create jewelry. The center is equipped with trimming saws, a drill press, and a variety of grinding and polishing machines. An assortment of rough material is available for member’s use, and classes are held periodically.

The Lapidary Center is in the Barnes Nature Center, 175 Shrub Road, Bristol.

New Procedure

To use the Lapidary Center, sign up to use the Lapidary Center online on the Meriden Club website (link will take you to the Meriden Club website.)  Sign up 2 nights before the date you will be going. If you need to cancel you should go back to the website and change to the option that you will not be going. You should still check the calendar the morning of the day you will be going to make sure that the supervisor has not had to cancel. If that happens the date will no longer be green but tan.

Contact Mike Z. with questions mzagielski@comcast.net
Hours are 10am – 2pm.
