Our next meeting is Tuesday, August 9, 2016. Join us and hear a program by Scott Maier on the minerals and gemstones of Nepal. Scott is the owner of Travelers Gems. He travelled to Nepal in 2009 and 2011, in search of the elusive gems of the high Himalayas, which include tourmaline, aquamarine, the world’s best kyanite, rubies and sapphires, and a host of other oddities like chlorite-included quartz.
We’ll begin at 7PM with a short business meeting; followed by refreshments, a silent auction, and socializing; and then our program. We meet in the dining room of the Bristol Senior Center, 240 Stafford Ave., in Bristol.
