Our next meeting is Tuesday, January 8, 2019. Join us for a presentation by Ted Johnson entitled “Ron Januzzi–The Unfinished Research.” The talk will focus on Ron’s last research in Connecticut, which is largely unpublished or published in books with only a limited number of copies. It will include his work on Danbury, Brookfield (chrysoberyl, elbaite, phosphates, etc.), his “Waterbury” Vesuvianite locality, Trumbull, as well as some interesting work he did at Strickland. There is a lot of “fresh” work on Connecticut localities that will be of interest to all Connecticut collectors.
Our meeting begins at 7PM–we’ll start with a short business meeting, followed by refreshments, socializing, and a silent auction, and then our program. We meet in the dining room of the Bristol Senior Center, 240 Stafford Ave. in Bristol, Connecticut. If you haven’t already paid your 2019 dues, the January meeting will be a great time to do so!!
Hope to see you there!
