Our next meeting is Tuesday, July 11, 2017. Join us for a presentation by club member Fritz Moritz called “Connecticut’s Fabulous Minerals & Gems: A Photographic Celebration.”
Connecticut has hundreds of minerals. But what are the most “important” ones? That depends on what criteria are used, but certainly from a collector’s viewpoint, aesthetics tops the list, especially gem quality.
In this presentation, Fritz has selected what he considers to be the top 20 or so Connecticut minerals that are common, have the best crystals, and/or make the best gemstones. This one is all eye candy, just tons of photos taken over the last several years of beautiful and local stuff!
Our meeting begins at 7PM–we’ll start with a short business meeting, followed by refreshments, socializing, and a silent auction, and then our program. We meet in the dining room of the Bristol Senior Center, 240 Stafford Ave. in Bristol.
